Members of the public may attend in person in Council Chambers, Ottawa City Hall, 110 Laurier Avenue West, or view the meeting online on the Ottawa City Council YouTube Channel or via Zoom https://us02web.zoom.us/j/84761806570 Notices and meeting information are attached to the agenda and minutes, including: availability of simultaneous interpretation and accessibility accommodations; in camera items not subject to discussion; personal information disclaimer for correspondents and public speakers; and notices regarding minutes. Accessible formats and communication supports are available, upon request.Delegations wishing to address the Board during the delegation portion of the regular meetings may be heard with the approval of the Board. Requests must be made to the Executive Director and must include a written copy of the comments that will be presented. The deadline to register with all of your materials included is September 25 at noon. All requests to speak must be approved by the Board Chair and the subject matter must be within the jurisdiction of the Board.

Motion Update : Professional Development Centre Capital Project
This item is before the Board following approval at the Finance and Audit Committee meeting on August 7th 2026. That the Ottawa Police Service Board receive, for information, a progress update from the Ottawa Police Service in response to the April 27, 2026 Board Motion regarding the proposed Professional Development Centre Capital Project. The Board Motion (refer to Annex A) requested that the Ottawa Police Service undertake a structured options analysis and report back to the Finance and Audit Committee and the Board by the fourth quarter of 2026, before seeking a capital commitment from the Board.
This item is before the Board following approval at the Finance and Audit Committee meeting on August 7th 2026. This item is before the Board following approval at the Human Resources Committee meeting on August 28th 2026. That the Ottawa Police Service Board’s Human Resources Committee recommend that the Ottawa Police Service Board: Approve the phased implementation of Phase Two of the Staffing Strategy comprising the addition of a Senior Policy and Data Analyst and a Quality Assurance and Finance Advisor over two budget years; Direct the Executive Director to engage with a third-party job-evaluation specialist to evaluate each proposed position, recommend an appropriate salary range for each, and report back on the results and associated financial implications before implementation.
