Water/Sewer: I represent an activated carbon manufacturer and supplier. I am looking at the City of Ottawa RFT No. 24423-88058-T01 Supply, Delivery, Installation and Testing of Activated Carbon for Carp and Vars Remote Well Stations, which was due 06/08/2023, and have a couple of questions I hope you can help with or help direct me to the right person to help me. 1. The specs say the exchanges happen every 12-18 months and there is a one-year possible extension. With that in mind, what is the expected timing of the next public bid for the granular activated carbon bid? 2. In the specs, only Calgon F400 and Norit GAC 400 are approved products. Will the City consider other equal products in the next bid? a. Our granular activated carbon (GAC) products, CarbPure GAC 1240 and CarbPure GAC 830, are domestically sourced and domestically manufactured from reagglomerated bituminous coal material and are NSF certified and meet AWWA B604 standards. I attached the product spec sheets so you can see more info on the products. We would like to offer competitive quotes to the City and participate in future bids.
