VP of Factory Waste Management

Garbage/Recycling: Founded in 2017, Sensoneo has undergone an impressive journey from a startup into a global leader in smart waste solutions. Our goal from the beginning has been to help cities, businesses and countries cope with the biggest challenges of waste management – lack of efficiency and transparency. We started with one product: waste fill-level monitoring solution that consisted of sensors measuring waste level in bins and a smart waste management software system. Over the years we have been expanding and perfecting our portfolio of services, which now range from waste and collection monitoring, route planning, factory waste management, to take-back systems and deposit return scheme integration. We are based in Bratislava, the capital of the EU member country Slovakia, where we conduct all the research and development. Our portfolio consists of hardware, software, as well as consultancies, enabling us to provide our customers with comprehensive end-to-end solutions. All our hardware products are manufactured in the EU. As the sole company worldwide, Sensoneo successfully implemented software for Deposit Return Schemes (DRS) in more than five countries achieving a recycling performance exceeding 90%. Additionally, Sensoneo has designed tools to automate waste collection in factories, enabling its customers to improve waste diversion rate and circularity of the location. As a result, customers can achieve a real-time overview and 97% accuracy in actual waste production. The main benefits our products bring are data-driven waste management, cost savings, emissions reduction, more efficient waste collection, improved waste diversion rates, and many more. The deployment of smart sensors by Sensoneo is poised to contribute to the largest smart waste installation worldwide, encompassing an impressive 11,100 sensors in Madrid. Notably, Sensoneo holds the distinction of being the pioneering company to implement a narrowband IoT solution in the United States. All Sensoneo solutions are scalable and can be customized to any size of business, city, or country. Our agile approach, flexibility and anything-is-possible attitude have won us not only the trust of customers in more than 85 countries worldwide, but also numerous awards and recognitions.

Transportation: Asset Market is a Canadian tech firm which helps communities to accelerate the delivery of critical infrastructure such as electric vehicle chargers, wireless antennas and IoT devices. We do this through an online B2B SaaS platform that optimizes what devices are needed where, and then connects organizations needing to install devices with public and private landowners that own the land, buildings and structures that host those devices. Through our software, we can reduce the capital cost of deploying EV chargers and wireless antennas by 30%. We then cut the time and cost of site acquisition - which often takes 6-12 months - by 80% and $1000's per site. Communities benefit from better infrastructure sooner whilst earning additional revenue by hosting equipment on their property. We are seeking an exploratory conversation with the City to determine whether we can work together to improve access to EV charging across the City where it is most needed, sooner at lower cost.

Transportation: Compass IoT is a new source of traffic data that is obtained from connected vehicles from major OEMs built after 2019. The data differs from other similar in that it collects data directly from the vehicle rather than proxy units such as cellphones, so it captures more detailed data related to vehicle telemetry, braking, swerving, etc. The data can be used to support transportation planning initiatives, traffic safety needs, and assess the impact/performance of safety and operational improvements.
