Sent a letter to share our member's concerns regarding item 13.2 Motion to Mitigate Financial impacts of the U.S. - Canada Trade tariffs on the City of Ottawa, (recommendation 2 re: procurement policy), which was approved by City Council on February 12, 2025. The City's interpretation of that motion has led one of our members, a locally owned-and-operated-small business to be excluded from being considered as a playground supplier despite their many years of supplying the City with playgrounds. They would like to be able to submit their contributions to the local economy and not be excluded for these jobs.
