Subject: Transportation

Issue: Compass IoT is a new source of traffic data that is obtained from connected vehicles from major OEMs built after 2019. The data differs from other similar in that it collects data directly from the vehicle rather than proxy units such as cellphones, so it captures more detailed data related to vehicle telemetry, braking, swerving, etc. The data can be used to support transportation planning initiatives, traffic safety needs, and assess the impact/performance of safety and operational improvements.
