Issue: MedicAlert has set up meetings with the Ottawa Police Service to facilitate our Connect Protect Program. The Connect Protect program provides police with 24-hour secure access to its Subscriber Health Information Database (SHID). SHID contains critical health information and other data including address and emergency contact information, photograph, a physical description, and wandering history. The service also provides in-field responders behaviour management strategies such as anxiety triggers and de-escalation techniques.
