The City of Ottawa has received an application for a Zoning By-law Amendment for the property at 1642 Merivale Road (Merivale Mall Site) to allow for the construction of a 12-storey mixed-use "L"-shaped building with frontage along Merivale Road and Viewmount Drive. Approximately 1,370 m2 of commercial is proposed on the ground floor. Residential uses are proposed above the ground floor in the form of 271 one- and two-bedroom units
