Motion To: WHEREAS the building on the parcel of land known as 159 Forward Avenue is considered to be in a state of disrepair; and WHEREAS the site is being redeveloped for new affordable housing with funding being provided by the City of Ottawa and the Province of Ontario; and WHEREAS there is a Provincial deadline to start construction on the site by April 29, 2020; WHEREAS the issuance of a demolition permit will be considered to be start of construction; WHEREAS given the dilapidated condition of the building and the timelines associated with the funding for the proposed development; and WHEREAS there is currently no building permit application for a replacement building. THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Council approve demolition control for the existing building on the property subject to the following conditions; 1. The landscaping of the property shall be finalized in accordance with conditions established by the General Manager of Planning, Infrastructure and Economic Development
