Motion To: WHEREAS the City is undertaking a major infrastructure renewal project on Larose Avenue, Lepage Avenue and Larkin Street in Ward 16; and WHEREAS as part of the design process for these streets, staff has reviewed the driveways within the project limits and found some driveway widths are not in full conformance with the City’s front yard parking restrictions and Private Approach By-law; WHEREAS for existing properties, the front yard parking restrictions and Private Approach By-law are normally enforced only on a complaint-driven basis; and WHEREAS there have been no complaints with respect to non-compliant driveways (private approaches) or front-yard parking in this area; and WHEREAS the area residents support providing relief for residents with existing driveways (private approaches) while acknowledging that any future driveways (private approaches) and front-yard parking must be in accordance with City by-laws.
