Motion To: WHEREAS outdoor municipal properties including municipal parks, beaches, and the areas surrounding municipal buildings are smoke and vapour free, enabling members of the public to congregate free of second-hand smoke and vapour; and WHEREAS there is a desire to encourage Federal departments and agencies that administer, manage, or program activities on Federal properties where members of the public may congregate, to initiate or continue review of their policies with a view to creating and supporting smoke-free and vapour-free public places; BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Community and Protective Services Committee recommend that Council petition the National Capital Commission, the Parks Canada Agency, Canadian Heritage, and other Federal departments and agencies that administer, manage, or program activities on Federal properties where members of the public congregate to put into place policies that create and support smoke-free and vapour-free public places on Federally-owned pr
