ITEM: BUILDING BETTER REVITALIZED NEIGHBOURHOODS: PHASE 2 INITIATION

Motion To: WHEREAS City Council’s Building Better Revitalized Neighbourhoods (BBRN) Strategic Initiative (SI) has the goal of improving the health, vibrancy and liveability of low-income neighbourhoods in the City of Ottawa; and WHEREAS a Councillors’ Sponsors Group was created to work with staff to assist with both Phase 1 (identification of the pilot sites) and Phase 2 (implementation of the pilot), and the Sponsors Group is comprised of the Chairs of Council Committees, Boards and Agencies to maximize the opportunities to identify potential synergies and opportunities for complementary programs in the pilot sites as follows: • Councillor Harder: Chair, Planning Committee; • Councillor Tierney: Vice Chair, Planning Committee; Chair, Ottawa Public Library Board; Chair, Ontario Caucus of Federation of Canadian Municipalities ; • Councillor Taylor: Deputy Mayor; City of Ottawa Representative, Association of Municipalities of Ontario; • Councillor Fleury: Chair, Ottawa Community Housing Board;
