WHEREAS the Ministry of Transportation (MTO) announced $20M for an Electrical Vehicle Chargers Ontario (EVCO) Program on December 22nd to support the build-out of a network for public electric vehicle (EV) charging stations across Ontario with a deadline to submit funding applications by February 12th; and WHEREAS the MTO is seeking public and private sector partners to create a network of fast-charging EV stations in cities, along highways and at workplaces, apartments, condominiums, and public spaces; and WHEREAS several private sector organizations that plan to submit applications to this Program have expressed a desire to install EV charging stations in the Ottawa area; and WHEREAS the City of Ottawa is a supportor of sustainable environmental services and wants to be on
