The City of Ottawa has received an application to alter the building located at 114 Richmond Road, a property designated under Part IV of the Ontario Heritage Act to permit the partial demolition of the west wing and the entire demolition of the south wing (a connecting corridor between the east and west wings). The remaining portions of the house, including the east and north sections of the building in their entirety will be restored and converted to residential and restaurant use. A nine storey residential building will be constructed to the south and west of the building.

The City of Ottawa has received an application to alter the building located at 180 Metcalfe Street, a property designated under Part IV of the Ontario Heritage Act and known as the Medical Arts Building. The applicant is requesting permission to demolish the rear (west) walls and the entire interior of the designated building, to brace and protect the existing north, east and south facades in order to preserve them in situ and integrate them into the new building. The reconstructed structure will mimic the old structure in terms of floor heights, roofline and volume. The proposal also includes a new six storey mixed-use podium west of the existing building and an 84.5m (27 storey) tower above the reconstructed Medical Arts Building and podium.
