PURPOSE OF THE APPLICATION:
The Owners are constructing a 22 storey condominium/hotel consisting of 178
condominium units and 148 hotel suites. A total of 88 parking spaces will be provided
onsite, located over 4 levels of parking garage, as shown on plans filed with the
Committee.
The Owners are proposing to transfer the 25 required parking spaces allocated for the
hotel suites to the individual purchasers of the condominiums, resulting in no onsite
parking for the hotel operation. An agreement has been made between the hotel and Vinci
Park to provide offsite parking at their parking facility.
RELIEF REQUIRED:
In order to proceed, the Owner requires the Authority of the Committee for a Minor
Variance from the Zoning By-law to permit 0 parking spaces for the proposed hotel
operation whereas the By-law requires a minimum of 25 parking spaces (0.5 spaces per
100 square metres of gross floor area).
THE APPLICATION indicates that the Property is not the subject of any other current
application under the Planning Act.
