PURPOSE OF THE APPLICATION:
As part of the renovations to the property, the Owners want to add a carport on the west
side of the existing detached dwelling, as shown on plans filed with the Committee.
In order to proceed, the Owners require the Authority of the Committee for Minor
Variance from the Zoning By-law to permit a reduced total side yard setback of 1.29
metres (0.67 metres on the west side and 0.62 metres on the east side) whereas the Bylaw requires a minimum total interior side yard setback of 1.8 metres with one minimum
yard no less than 0.6 metres.
THE APPLICATION indicates that the Property is not the subject of any other current
application under the Planning Act.
