PURPOSE OF THE APPLICATION:
The Owner wants to construct a 4.27 m x 8.94 garbage enclosure in the parking lot of the
existing ‘Mandarin Restaurant’. The proposed enclosure will be located on the west side of the
property fronting on Tenth Line Road next to an existing garbage enclosure, as shown on plans
filed with the Committee.
In order to proceed, the Owner requires the Authority of the Committee for a Minor Variance
from the Zoning By-law to permit a reduced distance of 0 metres from the westerly property line
along Tenth Line Road for the proposed garbage enclosure whereas the By-law states that all
outdoor loading and refuse collection areas located within a parking lot must be located at least
9.0 metres from a lot line abutting a public street.
THE APPLICATION indicates that the Property is not the subject of any other current
application under the Planning Act.
