PURPOSE OF THE APPLICATION:
The Owner wants to change the existing legal non-conforming “accessory warehouse and
automotive detailing business” to a light industrial use limited to the manufacturing of windows.
The application indicates that there will be one (1) parking space provided on the site.
In order to proceed, the Owner requires the Permission of the Committee. The existing
accessory warehouse and detailing business for an offsite limousine business use would appear
to be a legal non-conforming uses in the R4E zone. Permission is requested to change from one
legal non-conforming use to another legal non-conforming use (light industrial, limited to the
manufacturing of windows).
The Owner also requires the Authority of the Committee for a Minor Variance from the Zoning
By-law to permit 1 parking space for light industrial use whereas the By-law requires a minimum
of 4 parking spaces.
THE APPLICATION indicates that the Property is not the subject of any other current
application under the Planning Act.
