PURPOSE OF THE APPLICATION:
The Owner wants to construct a new 40.8 metre x 65.8 metre livestock facility (freestall
robotic dairy barn), as shown on plans filed with the application.
In order to proceed, the Owner requires the Authority of the Committee for a Minor
Variance from the Zoning By-law to permit a reduced separation distance of 139.8
metres from the nearest dwelling (6537 Old Richmond Road) to the proposed livestock
facility whereas the By-law requires a minimum separation distance of 189 metres.
THE APPLICATION indicates that the Property is not the subject of any other current
application under the Planning Act.
