PURPOSE OF THE APPLICATION:
The Owner wants to make renovations to its property which will include demolishing a portion of
its building and constructing a one-storey, automobile showroom addition (31.89 m x 25.30 m)
on the southeast corner of the existing building, as shown on plans filed with the Committee. As
well, a new main entrance is to be constructed facing Bank Street.
In order to proceed, the Owner requires the Authority of the Committee for a Minor Variance
from the Zoning By-law to permit a reduced southerly corner side yard setback of 6.36 metres
whereas the By-law requires a minimum corner side yard setback of 7.5 metres.
It should be noted that, for By-law purposes, the frontage on Bank Place is deemed to be the
front lot line for this property.
THE APPLICATION indicates that the Property is the subject of a Site Plan application (File No.
D07-12-14-0180) under the Planning Act.
