PURPOSE OF THE APPLICATION:
The Owners operate a finished clothing delivery business as a home-based business from their
detached dwelling, as shown on plans filed with the Committee.
RELIEF REQUIRED:
In order to proceed, the Owners require the Authority of the Committee for Minor Variances from
the Zoning By-law as follows:
a) To permit three non-resident employees on site whereas the By-law permits a maximum
of only one on-site non-resident employee per principal dwelling unit.
b) To permit the cumulative size of the home-based business to be 51.8% of the unit’s gross
floor area (116 square metres) whereas the By-law states, in part, that the cumulative
size of all home-based businesses per dwelling unit must not exceed 25% of the unit’s
gross floor area (in this case 56 square metres) or 28 square metres, whichever is the
greater.
THE APPLICATION indicates that the Property is not the subject of any other current
application under the Planning Act.
