PURPOSE OF THE APPLICATION:
The Owner wants to construct a 68-unit planned unit development (PUD) consisting of six blocks
of back-to-back townhouses on the south side of Poplin Street and west side of Spratt Road, as
shown on plans filed with the Committee. This proposal is Phase 9 of a larger development in
the Riverside South Community.
RELIEF REQUIRED:
In order to proceed, the Owner requires the Authority of the Committee for a Minor Variance
from the Zoning By-law as follows:
a)

To permit an increase in the number of units to 10 for two of the blocks identified as
(Blocks 1 & 2) whereas the By-law permits a maximum of 8 units per building.

b)

To permit an increase in the number of units to 12 for four of the block identified as
(Blocks 3, 7, 8 & 9) whereas the By-law permits a maximum of 8 units per building.

THE APPLICATION indicates that the Property is not the subject of any other current
application under the Planning Act.
