PURPOSE OF THE APPLICATION:
The Owner wants to construct 3.65 m x 4.267 m, one-storey rear addition at the south-west
corner of the existing dwelling, as shown on plans filed with the Committee.
In order to proceed, the Owner requires the Authority of the Committee for a Minor Variance
from the Zoning By-law to permit a reduced rear yard setback of 7.36 metres whereas By-law
2015-228 requires that a lot with a depth greater than 30 metres but less than 45 metres has a
minimum rear yard which is the lot depth minus 22.5 metres. In this case, the minimum rear
yard setback is 11.0 metres which represents the lot depth of 33.5 metres minus 22.5 metres.
THE APPLICATION indicates that the Property is not the subject of any other current
application under the Planning Act.
