PURPOSE OF THE APPLICATION:
The Owner wants to construct a 2.5 m x 3.9 m, one-storey addition at the rear of her
existing dwelling, as shown on plans filed with the Committee.
In order to proceed the Owner requires the Authority of the Committee for a Minor
Variance from the Zoning By-law to permit a reduced rear yard setback of 8.58 metres
whereas By-law 2015-228 requires a minimum rear yard setback of a distance equal to
the lot depth (34.86 metres) minus 22.5 metres, or in this case 12.36 meters.
THE APPLICATION indicates that the Property is not the subject of any other current
application under the Planning Act.
