PURPOSE OF THE APPLICATION:
The Owner wants to renovate her existing detached dwelling which will include
demolishing the existing garage and constructing a new 8.78 m x 9.94 m attached
garage on the south side, a 4.39 m x 2.13 m one-storey addition at the rear (east) as
well as a 6.95 m x 1.60 m, one-storey addition at the front of the existing dwelling, all as
shown on plans filed with the Committee.
In order to proceed, the Owner requires the Authority of the Committee for a Minor
Variance from the Zoning By-law to permit a reduced southerly side yard setback of
2.93 metres whereas the By-law requires a minimum side yard setback of 4.5 metres.
THE APPLICATION indicates that the Property is not the subject of any other current
application under the Planning Act.
