PURPOSE OF THE APPLICATION:
The Owners want to renovate their existing detached dwelling which will include a
7.91 m x 8.36 m garage extension on the north side, a 4.15 m x 5.99 m addition at the
north-east corner as well as enclosing a 5.71 m x 10.16 m area at the front of the
existing dwelling, all as shown on plans filed with the Committee.
In order to proceed, the Owners require the Authority of the Committee for Minor
Variances from the Zoning By-law as follows:
a) To permit a reduced northerly interior side yard setback of 1.875 metres whereas the
By-law requires a minimum side yard setback of 3.0 metres.
b) To permit a reduced rear yard setback of 6.7 metres whereas the By-law requires a
minimum rear yard setback of 7.0 metres.
THE APPLICATION indicates that the Property is not the subject of any other current
application under the Planning Act.
