MINOR VARIANCE/PERMISSION APPLICATION

PURPOSE OF THE APPLICATION:
It has been discovered that the recently expanded parking lot associated with the
“Cedarview Plaza” has not been constructed in conformity with the requirements of the
Zoning By-law. It is noted that previous Applications for Minor Variances were dealt
with in 2007 and 2010.
In order to regularize the construction of the recently expanded parking lot, the Owner
requires the Authority of the Committee for a Minor Variance from the Zoning By-law to
permit a reduced landscaped buffer width of 0 metres along the south side of the
parking lot on Strandherd Drive whereas the By-law requires a minimum landscaped
buffer width of 3 metres for a parking lot abutting a public street.
THE APPLICATION indicates that the Property is not the subject of any other current
application under the Planning Act.
