Site Plan Control: The purpose of the Site Plan Control proposal is to seek approval for the expansion and redevelopment of Arts Court to accommodate a new Ottawa Art Gallery and the re-purposing of the existing building. The development concept includes space for the Ottawa Art Gallery (OAG), an OAG multi-purpose space designed to serve as a 120-seat screening room, and a black box theatre and studio classrooms for the University of Ottawa (U of O). The development concept also includes a 17-storey tower which will be sold to the private sector. It will be situated atop a 6-storey podium, and will be occupied by either residential, hotel or office uses. There will be a multi-level underground parking garage accommodating 162 spaces. The podium will house the OAG, as well as a 1,830-square metre UOttawa facility, and private sector uses. The development will have a total height of approximately 75.2 metres, with amenity space provided on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th floor levels. The newly constructe View application on ottawa.ca
