Zoning By-law Amendment: The City of Ottawa has received a Site Plan Control and Zoning By-Law Amendment application from Giant Tiger Limited for the purpose of developing a new corporate headquarters and new ancillary retail store, replacing the existing office and retail uses on the property. The applicant is proposing to rezone the subject lands such that an ancillary retail store would be a permitted complimentary use, provided it is within a building having a total gross floor area of 15,000 square metres or more of a permitted primary IL use. Further, the proposed retail use would be limited to a supermarket or department store, and limited to only one on the subject property. In addition to the inclusion of an ancillary retail use, the applicant is proposing to increase the maximum building height to 22 metres from 18 metres. View application on ottawa.ca
