Zoning By-law Amendment: This is a City-initiated amendment affecting City-owned lands located at 2500 St. Laurent Blvd. This amendment is being proposed to facilitate the future sale of these lands. The purpose of this proposal is to rezone the lands from *_GM[1327] (General Mixed Use Zone Exception 1327) to IP (Business Park INdustrial Zone). The lands were rezoned to an industrial zone in the summer of 2014, however, the amendment was included in a By-law that was contingent on Official Plan amendment 150 coming into effect. OPA 150 has been appealed, and for this reason the industrial zoning for the lands has not yet come into effect. This amendment is proposed to release the lands from an unrelated appeal of OPA 150, and to implement an industrial zone that is in conformity with both the current Official Plan designation and the proposed Official Plan designation.
