Zoning By-law Amendment: City initiated This report corrects an error on the zoning map with regard to the flood plain mapping in the Old Ottawa South area. The proposed amendments are based on new mapping information provided to the City by the Rideau Valley Conservation Authority. Certain lands in the Old Ottawa South area are currently subject to the flood plain provisions. However, these lands should be subject to the area-specific provisions, also referred to as the flood fringe provisions. Development is not permitted in areas subject to the flood plain provisions, while development is permitted on lands subject to the area-specific provisions. View application on ottawa.ca
