Official Plan Amendment: The Official Plan designations of the Phase 9 lands currently reflect the OMB-approved draft plan of subdivision from 2006. The original subdivision layout has been revised to incorporate a new 80-metre wide corridor through the central portion of the subdivision, providing an improved connection between the environmental lands around the Beaver Pond (to the south) and Trillium Woods (to the north), which will be preserved as natural space for public use. The 80-metre corridor was conveyed to the City in September 2016. The proposed Official Plan Amendment would amend the designation of the new 80-metre corridor from General Urban Area to Urban Natural Features. The addition of the 80-metre corridor shifted the residential lotting slightly, so some small segments are also being redesignated to accurately reflect the development limits of the proposed residential development.
